Create a Garfield County Wildfire Council

Urge our county-wide elected officials to initiate the formation of a county-wide council.

With so many entities addressing different aspects of wildfire prevention and safety in our county, we would like to see Garfield County will follow the lead of proactive counties across the state and establish a structure for regular communication and collaboration among these various entities. It’s time to:

• Find solutions to our current evacuation challenges
• Establish regular public updates on wildfire planning 
• Take a more proactive approach to wildfire preparation and prevention
